CRUISE SHIP FACTS

Description
Carnival Inspiration was built at Kvaerner Masa-Yards, Helsinki New Shipyard in Finland. She is one of the most recent of the Fantasy class ships in the Carnival Cruise Lines fleet, being preceded by Carnival Fantasy (1990), Carnival Ecstasy (1991), Carnival Sensation (1993), Carnival Fascination (1994), Carnival Imagination (1995).

Destinations
Carnival Inspiration cruises mostly to the Western Caribbean and departs from the port of Tampa in Florida, featuring ports such as Cozumel in Mexico and Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands.

History
Carnival Inspiration began its operations in the year 1996. The ship was built at Finland in the Kvaerner Masa-Yards, in Helsinki New Shipyard. In 2007, the ship was renovated.

Dining
Carnival Inspiration has a host of dining option from fine dining to casual. Mardi Gras and Carnivale are the two main dining rooms. Other dining options include Rhapsody in blue piano bar, Violin's bar, Café de artistes, Rotisserie Grille, Pool side bar, Brasserie Bar n grill, Salad bar, grand buffet, Deli and a pizzeria.

Entertainment
The ship has a range of activities for children; Camp Carnival caters for the younger children (ages 2-11), Circle C for 12-14 year olds and Club O2 for teenagers aged 15-17. The Carnival waterworks with huge water slides are a big attraction for young and not so young. Adults on the cruise have a separate pool called the Serenity pool. Other entertainment includes the Monte Carlo Casino, Chopin Cigar lounge and Paris Main lounge.

Carnival Inspiration’s guests can also use the Carnival Spa and the beauty salon, massage room, the relaxation room, the steam room or the sauna.. Sporting activities include gym, the aerobics center, the jogging track, the basket ball court and a volleyball court.

The Grand Atrium that is focal area on board the ship. Other facilities include duty free shops, art gallery, photo gallery, jewelry store, conference room, internet café and a Shakespeare Library.

Cabins
There is a variety of cabin styles to suit different budgets. The upscale guests on the cruise can choose to stay in the Penthouse suite that has an attached open balcony at 400 sq ft that can sleep four guests. The other Suites on the cruise are a little smaller at 300 sq ft and can sleep three guests. The other cabins on the ship are the Balcony or the Ocean view cabins and the interior cabins.
