CARNIVAL CONQUEST FACTS

Description
The Carnival Conquest cruise ship is the first of the Conquest Class ships in the Carnival fleet. capable of carrying 2,974 passengers, with a cruising speed of 22.5 knots and weighing at 110,000 tons. The ship features a huge LED screen at the Carnival Seaside Theater and a rich diversity of entertainment options with various bars, night clubs and lounges. Sister ships in the Conquest class are Carnival Glory (2003), Carnival Valor(2004), Carnival Liberty (2005) and Carnival Freedom (2007).

Destinations
The Carnival Conquest has trips from Galveston or from Florida to the Bahamas. There are cruises to Western or the Eastern Caribbean islands, featuring ports such as Florida, Galveston, Freeport, Key West, Nassau, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

History
Carnival Conquest was built at Fincantieri and her first cruise was from New Orleans in November 2002. Lindy Boggs, a former Congress woman from Louisiana, is considered the cruise’s God mother. The interiors of the cruise were designed by Joe Farcus and inspired by the Impressionist style.

Dining
The famous restaurants on the Carnival Conquest are Paul’s, PC’s Wok, Cezanne, Renoir and Monet. The cuisines are from various cultures, all brought under one roof on the cruise.

The list of bars and lounges on the cruise are Sky bar, Blues Piano bar, La Tour wine bar, Vincent’s bar, Degas lounge, Impressions bar, Gauguin’s Sports bar and a pool side bar. There is also a New York style deli, a pizzeria, the Steakhouse and Sky grill.

Entertainment
Entertainment facilities include Carnival’s seaside theater that host shows similar to the ones at Las Vegas, Stars pool, Tahiti Casino, Alfred’s Cigar Club and Henri’s night club. There is plenty of entertainment for the teens and kids at the Camp Carnival, Circle C and Club 02, in addition to a children’s pool.

The Carnival Spa on the spa deck is for those who want to relax their body and minds during their trip. The ship has a gym, an aerobics centre, a massage room, a steam and sauna, separate for men and women. The Sports deck also has a basket ball court and on the sky deck there is a Mini Golf Course.

Cabins
The Conquest has 60% of its cabins with a balcony and an ocean view. The cabins on the cruise have Penthouse Suite, Grand Suite and Ocean view Suite, all attached with a balcony for that open, yet private, sit out and view. These cabins are huge, open and loaded with amenities. The size of these cabins range from 500 to 300 sq ft. The inside and outside cabins are much smaller; however, have an ocean view, obstructed view and some have balconies.
