NORWEGIAN SUN FACTS

Description
The Norwegian Sun has distinctive hull art with a bright yellow and orange sun. This ship was the third and the last cruise of the Sky class ships. This vessel has a gross tonnage of 78,308 tons, and a length of approximately 258 meters. She entered service in 2001. She is sister ship to the Norwegian Sky (1999) and Costa Victoria of Costa Cruises (1996).

Destinations
Norwegian Sun cruises to the Baltic in Europe, the Caribbean, and along the Pacific Coast to Alaska.

History
The Norwegian Sun was built by Lloyd Werft in Germany in 2001. The Norwegian Sun and the Norwegian Star were named together at the port of Miami.

Dining
The Norwegian Sun dining options include Pacific Heights with a gourmet pizza bar and low cal desserts, II Adagio Restaurant – Latin cuisine, Le Bistro, Ginza Japanese Restaurant, East Meets West Steak House, Sushi bar, huge dining rooms, Garden café, Dazzles night club, Wind jammer Bar, Java café and more.

Entertainment
Entertainment includes The Stardust theatre hosting shows similar to the ones on Broadway, an Oasis pool and Splashes kid’s pool, a Sun Club Casino, a Kids Korner, a Teen Club, and a Video Zone are the entertainment and recreation options one can opt for.
For those passengers that need a few beauty treatments and want to feel rejuvenated, the Norwegian Sun presents the Body Waves Spa. There is also a Body Waves fitness Centre along with a jogging and walking track. Golf net drive, a basketball and volley ball court only add to the fitness and sports sections on board.

Cabins
The Norwegian Sun has more than 50 suites varying from mini-suites, owner’s suite, romance suites and penthouses. There are more than 300 cabins on the ship including balcony staterooms, Ocean view rooms, obstructed view rooms and inside and outside view rooms.
