NORWEGIAN PEARL FACTS

Description
The Norwegian Pearl is the third of four Jewel class ships in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. Her sister ships are Norwegian Jewel (2005), Norwegian Jade (2006) and Norwegian Gem (2007). The ship features distinctive hull art of wonderful brightly coloured pearls. The ship was launched in 2006.

Destinations
The Norwegian Pearl cruises to Alaska from Seattle, the Caribbean departing from Miami, and also has a Cruise through the Panama canal.

History
Norwegian Pearl was built between 2005 and 2006 at Meyer Werft ship yard in Germany. The Norwegian Pearl took its first cruise from Southampton to Miami where the ship received its name. Rosie O’Donnell is considered as the ship's Godmother.

Dining
The Free-Style dining options on the Norwegian Pearl are another common feature of the Norwegian Cruise Line. The several bars, cafes and fine dining options encourage its passengers to dare to try a new cuisine while at sea. Some of its fine dining and bars are: Lotus Garden – an Asian Restaurant, Le Bistro, La Cucina, Blue Lagoon, Mambos Latin/Tapas Restaurant, Steak house, Sushi bar, a Malting Beer & Whiskey bar, Star Bar, a Champagne bar etc and a variety of café.

Entertainment
Entertainment options include The Stardust theatre, a huge bowling alley, rock climbing wall, gaming centre for kids and the teens, The Tahitian Pool. For the adults, the cruise has a Pearl Club casino and a Corona Cigar Club. The Norwegian Pearl has a spa and fitness centre. It has a South Pacific Spa and salon and a Body waves fitness centre. The cruise also has a Walking and Jogging track, basket ball and Volley ball court.

Cabins
Cabin accommodation includes Balcony staterooms, Ocean view staterooms, and Inside or Outside staterooms. There are also garden villas, courtyard villas, deluxe or owner’s suite and penthouses. They are well furnished and have their own private ocean view balcony, an open terrace, a yard with a private pool, and sun deck.
