NORWEGIAN STAR FACTS

Description
The Norwegian Star was built in 2001 at the Meyer Werft ship yard in Papenburg, Germany and is now operated by Norwegian Cruise Line. She was originally built as a Libra class vessel for Star Cruises. The Norwegian Star with its spacious decks offers luxurious travel, entertainment, and a host of dining options to cater to every individual on board. Guests can enjoy the 14 dining options and 9 bars and lounges.

Destinations
Norwegian Star cruises to the Caribbean and Bermuda. From 2013, Norwegian Star will cruise the Baltic from Copenhagen, Denmark.

History
The Norwegian star built by Meyer Werft in 2001, was to be called ‘Super Star Libra’ and to be a part of the Star Cruises. Six months before it could begin operations it became a part of the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet and received its current name. She was launched from the port of Miami along with another Cruise ship The Norwegian Sun.

Dining
The Norwegian Star offers a wide range of exotic cuisines with restaurants such as: The Soho Restaurant that offers customers the option to choose their own fresh live lobster. The Ginza Asian Restaurant that includes a Sushi and tempura bar. The Gatsby champagne bar, Versailles dining room, Las Ramblas Tapas bar and restaurant, La Trattoria, Topsiders Grill, Market Café or Kids Café etc.

Entertainment
To cater to its passengers’ entertainment and recreational needs the Norwegian Star provides a huge variety to choose from. A Stardust theatre and a Show house built like the European Opera house , a Star Club Casino, The Karaoke Circus Bar, Teen Disco, Splash down kids pool, a card room, Teen Club, Video Zone, and a Havana club
Barong Spa and Fitness Centre is also available on the cruise for those who want to be pampered while at sea. They also have a jogging and walking track for those who want to continue their routine during their trips. Golf Driving net, Basketball and Volleyball court. Hot tubs and Jacuzzi are also available.

Cabins
Accommodation includes inside staterooms, ocean view staterooms and balcony staterooms. There are also a variety of suites including Penthouse suites, Family suites, Garden Villas, Owner’s suite, and Mini Suites.
