ROTTERDAM FACTS

Description
MS Rotterdam VI is the pride of Holland America Line fleet. The ship, built in 1997, features Dutch culture and heritage it exhibits covering more than hundred years of history. The central eye catching piece of art is the embellished sculpture of the clock tower with twelve clocks providing world time.

Destinations
Rotterdam cruises to a variety of destinations. Cruise schedule may include destinations such as Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Panama Canal, South America, Hawaii and the South Pacific.

History
Rotterdam of Holland America Line began its operations in 1997. Rotterdam VI is the latest in a long line of ships carrying the name Rotterdam. She was built in Italy, and was dedicated in December that year by HRH Princess Margriet of the Netherlands. The ship is said to be carrying more than $2 million worth of art.

Dining
Le Fontaine Dining room, Canaletto Italian restaurant, Pinnacle and Terrace grill for barbecues and steaks, A Tamarind and silk Den an Asian restaurant, Retreat bar and restaurant, Lido bar and restaurant, Slice – a place that can be referred as a pizza palace, Crow’s nest night club and Explorer’s lounge are the dining options available on Rotterdam. Passengers also have an option to reserve seating for their meals.

Entertainment
Entertainment on Rotterdam includes the ‘Culinary Arts Centre’ that provides cookery lessons, the ‘Wine tasting bar and Gourmet shop’, the Wajang Theatre and the Showroom at sea, host a lot of shows from singing and dancing to magic and comedy shows. ‘Club HAL’ and ‘The Loft’ meant for kids and teens on the cruise are filled with a lot of fun activities and are places for them to socialize. The Lido pool is another place for some fun time with family and friends.
On the Lido deck, the cruise has a Greenhouse Spa and Salon which is a place for various health and beauty treatments. The deck also has a fitness centre and an aerobics room for those passengers who would like to burn a few calories after the all the drinking and eating. A Sauna and Thermal suites is yet another reason to relax and rejuvenate while at sea. For those passengers who love sports, there is a Tennis court and a Basket ball court on the Sports deck.

Cabins
MS Rotterdam offers a range of accommodation options including Interior staterooms, Ocean-view staterooms, Lanai staterooms with sliding glass doors leading onto the Lower Promenade deck, Verandah Suites and Deluxe Verandah Suites.
