DAWN PRINCESS FACTS

Description
Dawn Princess belongs to Princess Cruise Lines Sun class of cruise ships. Dawn Princess welcomes all guests at the Grand Plaza which has floor made of marble, staircase made of brass, amazing woodwork, intricately carved glass work and a great combination of conventional and modern art.

Destinations
Dawn Princess is based in Australia and cruises from to New Zealand and the South Pacific.

History
Dawn Princess was built in Italy at the Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani shipyard in Monfalcone in 1996. The ship had her maiden voyage in 1997 and was christened by the cast of the TV show "The Love Boat". The ship had its first Australian cruise in 2008, and the ship is now based in Australia. In 2009 the ship was refurbished to add a few highlights such as the huge LED screen – “Movies under the stars” and more.

Dining
The dining options on the Dawn Princess feature the two huge dining rooms Florentine and Venetian. The bars on the cruise include the Wheelhouse bar, Players bar, Riviera bar and an Oasis bar. A 24-hour café, a Sundaes that serves ice creams, the Sterling Steakhouse restaurant , Buffet and a Balcony Grill.

Entertainment
The new ‘Movies under the stars’ is a huge highlight to entertain its guests. It also has lounges like the Atrium lounge and the Vista lounge and the Princess Theater for shows and a Grand Casino with slot machines. The young ones on the trip have a Youth and Team center. Guests can relax in the water at the Splash pool, Oasis pool and Riviera pool.

Sports facilities include basketball, paddle tennis, golf simulator, jogging. For those looking for a refreshing experience can use the Lotus Spa, the Oasis Spa, the massage room, Steam room or the Sauna. One’s who prefer a workout can use the Aerobics or the Fitness center.

Cabins
The ship has 6 Suites with balconies, 32 Mini-suites with balconies. There are 372 ocean view outside cabins with balconies, 193 with ocean view (no balconies). There are also 372 interior staterooms. Nineteen of the cabins are wheelchair accessible. The Suites and the Mini Suites that include a balcony space are located on the Baja, Caribe and the Dolphin decks. They are sized at 695 sq ft to 355 sq ft and include a sitting area, dining, a walk in closet and a complete bath.
