CROWN PRINCESS FACTS

Description
Crown Princess is a Grand-class cruise ship belonging to Princess Cruises, and is one of the largest ships in the fleet. The vessel is 290 m long and carries 3,080 passengers and has close to 900 balconies. The centerpiece of the ship is the three-deck high Crown Plaza atrium, made on the lines of an Italian Piazza. The ship also provides huge dining rooms and a host of varied dining options blended with great entertainment for all age groups.

Destinations
The Crown Princess sails the Caribbean in winter season, and Europe in summer season. The Caribbean cruises depart from the port of Fort Lauderdale and covers ports such as Bahamas, Princess Cays, Grand Cayman, Honduras, Cozumel and Roatan.

European cruises depart from either the port of Fort Lauderdale, Rome, Venice, or Southampton. Cruises vary from 12-day up to 27-day and ports of call may include places such as Gibraltar, Barcelona, Civitavecchia, Florence, Marseille, Monte Carlo, Livorno, Naples, Santorini, Greenock, Kusadasi, Geiranger, Le Havre, Lisbon, Piraeus, Katakolon, Corfu, Flaam, Trondheim, depending on cruise.

History
Crown Princess was built and completed at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri Cantieri Navalli Italiani. Her maiden voyage was in 2006 from Red Hook, Brooklyn in New York. The ceremony was inaugurated by Martha Stewart who also christened the vessel and is considered the ship's godmother.

Dining
The main dining rooms on the Crown Princess are the Michelangelo dining room, the Da Vinci dining room and the Botticelli dining room, the cruise also has various restaurants such as Mermaid’s tail Sabatini’s and Adagio, it also has various bars and cafes such as Vines bar, Escapes Travel Café, International café, Casino bar, Trident grill, Pizza & Ice Cream bar, Wheelhouse bar, Crooners bar and Café Caribe.

Entertainment
The highlight of the cruise’s entertainment is the Movies under the stars large screen theatre. The cruise also has various shows at the Princess Theater. Other entertainment options include Gatsby’s Casino, Speakeasy cigar lounge, Explorers Lounge and dance club, Club Fusion, Terrace pool, Neptune’s reef and pool, Calypso reef & pool, Horizon Court, Teen Center, Youth Center, Chill out, Video Arcade and the Skywalkers Night Club.

The Lido deck, the Sports deck and the Sun deck have options such as the Lotus Spa, Thermal suite, Aerobics, Fitness Center, Massage rooms, Lotus Spa pool, Steam, Sauna, Beauty Salon, Center Court, Cyber Golf, Princess Links and a Jogging track.

Cabins
There are about 1300 Standard Balcony staterooms, Ocean view stateroom and Inside cabins. Crown Princess has 26 Owner’s Suite, Premium Suite, Penthouse Suite, Vista Suite and Family Suites that range from 700 sq ft to 400 sq ft. These suites have an open and private balcony and are expansive and loaded with amenities. The cruise also has 178 Mini Suites at 320 sq ft and also includes a balcony.
