MSC SINFONIA FACTS

Description
The MSC Sinfonia marries comfort and style in a single vessel. The concept of the ship’s design was borne out of the sophistication of Europe’s best symphonies. Once you get onboard, you’ll be welcomed by elegant interiors and world class service. The most popular cruises aboard this ship are to the Mediterranean and South African destinations. One of the highlights of the ship is its Virtual Gold Simulator. A mistral class cruise ship, this is marketed for adult clients, and has no amenities for very small children.

Destinations
All MSC cruise vessels travel to North America, South America, South Africa, the Mediterranean, the Transatlantic, and the Northern European region all throughout the year. MSC Sinfonia cruises include trips to the Mediterranean every summer and winter.

History
The MSC Sinfonia was built in 2002. It was constructed by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. The MSC Italian Cruises is the second owner of this vessel. It was originally built for the Festival Cruises and named the MS European Stars. It wasn’t until 2004 (after the turnover) that the ship was renamed MSC Sinfonia.

Dining
Two main restaurants offer buffet dining during three main meals. These are the Il Galeone and the Il Covo. They’re both indoor restaurants. If you want outdoor dining, there’s also the La Terazza. These three restaurants serve top-of-the-line Mediterranean and Italian dishes. Caffe del Mare also serves buffet lunch. There are eight bars sprinkled across the cruise ship for refreshments.

Entertainment
The MSC Sinfonia has a 600-seater theater with state-of-the-art lights and sounds system. There’s also a disco facility, a casino, and a video game center. There’s a Virtual Golf Simulator, a health center/spa, fitness facilities and a beauty salon. Unfortunately, there are no amenities for small children. This vessel is designed for adult passengers. If you want to travel with your family, you might appreciate the other MSC cruise vessels.

Cabins
There are a range of accommodation options from Suites with balcony to regular outside and inside cabins. The suites which are about 22 square meters. The outside cabins have picture windows and are about 13 square meters. Some outside cabins may have restricted views because of their position inside the ship. Inside cabins don’t have views. All cabins inside the MSC Sinfonia have separate baths and air conditioning systems.
