APHRODITE FACTS

Description
Aphrodite is a built twin-masted brig based in Stavoran in The Netherlands. The white ship has a steel hull and mostly wooden superstructure, and is 38 m in length with a width of 6.6 m. The bow features a bold figurehead of the Greek goddess of Love, Aphrodite after whom the ship is named. The tall ship can accommodate 16 guests overnight and up to 50 for day trips. The crew ensure that guests onboard enjoy their sailing experience.

History
The ship was built in 1994 based on the drawings of brigs from the nineteenth century. The ship was architected by J M De Vries, with interior design by M. Bekebrede and A. Kingma.
