Celebrity Equinox is the second ship in the Solstice Class, commencing service in 2009 The other ships in the class are sister ship to Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Sostice and Celebrity Silhouette. The ship was built in Germany and is 315m long and capable of carrying 2850 passengers..

Celebrity Equinox was launched in 2009 and her first voyage was in July 2009 from the port of Southampton. The launch ceremony was inaugurated by Nina Barough, the ship's godmother. The ship was built in Germany at the Meyer Werft ship yard in Papenburg.
Eating and drinking options include the Passport bar, the Cellar Masters, the Silhouette dining room, the Crush, the Galleria Tastings, Bistro on five, Café La Bacio & Gelateria, Michael’s club, Murano restaurant, Blu restaurant, Tuscan grill, Silk Harvest restaurant, Mast bar and grill, Ocean view café, Ocean view bar and the Sunset bar.
Entertainment onboard includes Celebrity Central, Equinox Theater, Entertainment Court, Fortunes Casino, Ensemble lounge, Relaxation lounge, Pools – Sports pool, family pool and wet zone, Sky observation lounge, X Club, Fun Factory, Video Arcade, The Lawn Club and the Quasar dance club.
For various treatments and therapies Celebrity Equinox offers an Aqua Spa with a Spa Verandah, Fitness Center, Aerobics center, Hair Salon, Acupuncture, Persian Garden, Aqua Spa café and a Solarium a pool for relaxation. The ship also has a Jogging track; basket ball court.
Celebrity Equinox has more than 1200 cabins which include Penthouse suites at 1500 sq ft, Royal suites at 700 sq ft, Celebrity suites at 500 sq ft, Sky suites at 400 sq ft. Providing luxury. Regular cabins include the Aqua Class Stateroom, Concierge Class Stateroom, Ocean view cabins with verandah , Ocean view cabins without verandah and Interior Staterooms.
