History
The Thomson Celebration is owned by Holland America Line but has been chartered to Thomson Cruises in 2005. Thomson Cruises is its currently registered operator. Built in 1984 by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, it was originally named MS Noordam until it was acquired by Thomson Cruises. It was built in the French shipyard St. Nazaire.

Dining
There are formal and casual dining options onboard the Thomson Celebration. Two restaurants are serviced by waiters. They are the Meridian Restaurant and the Mistral’s Restaurant. The Meridian Restaurant is slightly more flexible, offering open seats for breakfast and lunch. The Mistral’s Restaurant requires reservations and may have cover charges. There’s also the Captain’s Gala Night and Weekly Cocktail Party. Dining schedules for these formal events are also assigned.

Two restaurants onboard the ship offer more flexible dining opportunities. The Lido Restaurant is an al fresco dining area serving international food. This is open 24 hours a day. The Terrace Grill is open in the morning and at noon. They serve excellent pasta and grilled seafood dishes. Every week, the ship has a Buffet Magnifique event wherein the passengers are entertained while enjoying exotic desserts.

Entertainment
Passengers of the Thomson Celebration can enjoy Class A acts and live band shows in three lounges. The Broadway Show lounge features presentations from UK’s best theatre teams. The Horizon’s Lounge, on the other hand, features classical and jazz musicians. If you’re in the mood for karaoke, games, live bands, or disco, you should frequent the Liberties Lounge.

There is also a casino and a cinema in the ship. If you feel like mingling with the other passengers, you can have drinks at the Horizon’s, Hemmingway’s Bar, and the Explorer’s Lounge. Those who would like to work out may go to the Sports Deck. There’s also the Ocean’s Health Club which is the ship’s spa and salon facility.

Cabins
The Thomson Celebration has three cabin categories namely the Standard, Deluxe, and the Suite. For the Standard Cabins, you can choose from outside and inside rooms. All of these cabins have air conditioning and basic amenities like TV and hair dryers. The deluxe cabins and the suites are just bigger. The suite, in particular, has a sofa bed which can accommodate another person.
