CARIBBEAN PRINCESS FACTS

Description
The Caribbean Princess cruise ship is a Grand Class ship from Princess Cruises. The ship has a massive outside theater screen almost 300 square feet in size presenting ‘Movies under the stars’. The old three storey high grand atrium is now called ‘The Piazza’ and is influenced by street side café, with a bakery and deli. This huge vessel has large range of dining and entertainment options for all age groups.

Destinations
Caribbean Princess has its trips to the Southern Caribbean and the Eastern Caribbean regions. Their 7 or 9 day trips may cove ports such as San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Antilles, Grand Turk. Round trips depart from New York. The ship also cruises to New England and Canada with seven or nine day trips from the port of New York featuring ports such as Rhode Island, Maine, Newport, New Brunswick, Saint John, Nova Scotia and Halifax.

History
Caribbean Princess was built in Italy at the Fincantieri ship yard. It was christened at the port of St Fort Lauderdale by the famous Jill Whelan on the 2nd of April in the year 2004. The cruise is also nicknamed Grand Daddy because of its ability to carry so many guests and staff.

Public Areas
Some of the public places on the Caribbean Princess are the Princess fine art gallery, photo gallery, Vines shop, the Library, an Internet café and the Sanctuary.

Dining
The ship has a variety of dining options - cafes and bars include the International Café, Vines bar, Lobby bar, The Pizza, Island dining room, Crown Grill, Coral dining room, Palm dining room, Crooners bar, Wheelhouse bar, Sabatini’s, Trident grill, Scoops, Café Caribe, Morgan’s bar.

Entertainment
Apart from the ‘Movies under the stars’ wide mega TV screen, other entertaining places are Princess theater, Churchill Lounge, Grand Casino, Explorers lounge and Dance club, Neptune’s reef and pool, Calypso reef and pool, Teen Center, Youth Center, Video Arcade, Splash pool, Skywalker’s night club.

For the health and fitness options on the Caribbean Princess includes a Lotus Spa, a Beauty Salon, Thermal Suite, Massage parlor, Lap pool, Beauty salon, Sauna, Steam, an Aerobics and Fitness Center, a Walkway, Cyber Golf and a Sports court.

Cabins
The cruise has a variety of cabin choices for its guests based on pricing and comforts provided. There are Grand Suites at 1279 sq ft, Suites and Family Suites at nearly 600 sq ft and a Mini- Suite at 324 sq ft. These suites also include an open balcony space. It also has Ocean view Double, with and without a balcony option, at 288 sq ft. There are also Ocean view with two portholes and obstructed view and Inside cabins.
