MSC ARMONIA FACTS

Description
Aside from giving top-of-the-line luxury cruises, the MSC Italian Cruises vessels are also known for their tight security. For years, they have been used as main transportation vessels for the world’s most important leaders. It is also a favorite among travelers who are cruising with their families. The cabins are generally spacious, and while most of the amenities are designed for adults, there are kid’s clubs to keep your little ones entertained. This may be a cruise line which is based in Italy, but the crew speaks English very well.

Destinations
The MSC cruise ships traverse top destinations all over the world. The MSC Armonia travels to Northern Europe in the summer and the Caribbean during the winter months. In between, there are also cruises to the Middle East, South America and North America. The itineraries may vary depending on the weather. The MSC Armonia is one of the biggest vessels owned by the cruise line, though, and you can be sure that it has a wide spectrum of destinations for your to choose from.

History
The MSC Armonia was originally built in 2001 for the defunct cruise line, Festival Cruises. At that time, it was still called MS European Vision. The Festival Cruises owned the ship till 2004. When the vessel was sold to MSC Italian Cruises, it was renamed MSC Armonia to fit into the template of its sister vessels.

Dining
There are two indoor restaurants offering waiter service onboard the MSC Armonia. These are the Marco Polo and the La Pergola. Expect top-of-the-line Italian cuisines. There is an outdoor restaurant called the Il Girasole which offers a more casual dining experience. For buffets, visit the La Brassiere. This particular restaurant is only open during lunch, though.

Entertainment
Most entertainment facilities onboard the MSC Armonia are built for adults. They include the casino, the 400-seater theater, and the disco room. There is a video games room for teens, though, and a daycare facility for smaller children. To keep yourself fit, there are two swimming pools onboard, a gym, and a deck for tennis and basketball playing. Those who want to relax can also take advantage of MSC’s impressive spa.

Cabins
The best accommodations onboard the MSC Armonia are the Balcony Suites. These are about 22 square meters and have modern amenities and separate baths. The inside and outside cabins are smaller, averaging at 13 square meters. The outside cabins have picture windows, although if you’re situated in the Topazio deck, you may have a restricted view of the sea.
