History
Azamara Journey began its operations in 2000 and was built in Chantiers de l'Atlantique, Saint-Nazaire ship yard as a part of Renaissance Cruises and was christened R-6. From 2005 onwards, she sailed with Pullmantur Cruises and the name changed to Blue Dream. In 2007, she was renamed to Azamara Journey and began cruising with Azamara Cruises.

Dining
Guests can choose from a number of dining options including the Discoveries main dining room, Prime C or Aqualina. Window’s Café serves buffet style or one can opt to relax by the pool at the Pool Grill for those sizzling steaks and barbeques. Cova Café and Martini’s bar are also interesting and can equally please the palate.

Entertainment
The Luxe Casino is stacked with slot machines and other games. The Looking Glass Lounge is a bar with good music. Michael’s Club, just like a piano bar, serves good food and wine with a gel of piano tunes. The Cabaret is another entertainment hub that hosts shows for its guests while at sea.

The Aqua Spa, which is a standard in the Azamara cruises, is also available on the Journey. Aqua Spa can transport its guest to a completely new world of peace and tranquility. The ancient Chinese treatment at the Acupuncture is another unique way for treatments and rejuvenation on the cruise. On the Aqua Spa deck, the vessel also has a gym and fitness centre for those guests who would like to burn those extra calories. The guests also have an option to use the jogging track or simply take a relaxing walk to watch the sunrise or sunset. The kids on the Azamara Journey have pool to relax and splash around in.

Azamara Journey has 335 cabins that include suites, penthouses and standard staterooms. The most expensive of the accommodation facilities are the Penthouse suites sized at 700 sq ft inclusive of the balcony space, The Royal suite at nearly 600 sq ft and the 300 sq ft Sky suite.
